The ancestry of Osulf/Osulphus/Oswulf?Ael fric? Harington?
Q. Someone in my family may have been able to trace our ancestry to Osulf. But I am confused. There are two Osulfs. One is around 400 years older than the one we apparently have ties to. Is there a connection between them? The Osulf I'm referring to has a son named Robert De Haverington (Harington) which eventually leads to the knights with the name of Harrington. Someone told me Osulf is the son of William the Conqueror. I can't find anything. The only thing I was able to find is "Aelfric." I also was told that they were Scandinavian. Can anyone help me? I'm so lost.
