A. The pirates back then had weak pistols and swords. The pirates now have freaking machine guns and bombs. okay seriously now. No back then women were not treated equally they were treated with less power. In a way no their not different because they steal, loot and sometimes kill. Like the good old pirates. ( and look at the first part of my answer) Yes of course back then pirates were common which meant that ships carrying goods would have to be careful. II reality, pirates burying treasure was rare, the only pirate known to have buried treasure was William Kiddwho is believed to have buried at least some of his wealth on Long Island before sailing into New York. What Pirates of the caribbean pictures would relate to geography?
Q. OK, so we had to use a movie and find geography related pics for a title page, lol, So anyways I have the Charts used in Pirates three, like as a map, and Jacks compass, but do you have any other ideas?

A. There's one scene - I forget which movie it's in - where they clearly show you guys painting a huge map on the wall of someone office. I forget if it's Elizabeth's father or the bad guy from the East India Tea Company, but it's a wall-sized map.

What's the difference between Somalian Pirates and Israel?
Q. 1 )They both invade and attack civilian ships on International Waters ( oops this was a similarity) 2) Somalian Pirates didn't harm anybody so far whereas Israel killed 9 civilians on an aid ship without a blink. 3) Somalian Pirates doesn't have warships , Israel has 4) Somalian Pirates take the kidnapped to Somali whereas the other takes them to Israel and what more ?

A. Israel kills it's victims and shoots them 30 times. Why? Their "daddy" the US has their back. Without dad to protect them, they'd be toast. Some day, when the USA ceases to exist because it becomes a commie state or part of a world gov, it will be interesting to see how well Israel does on it's own. I predict it won't even last that long. Karma baby, it's a MF.

What did pirates do with all their money?
Q. It is a well known fact that pirates did not bury their treasure, that came from books and stories. Treasure was almost always spent as fast as they stole it. Pirates made a living stealing and killing. So what did they do with the money they stole? If they had no qualms about killing someone to get what they wanted then why didn't they just go and steal what they would usually pay for. I have heard of pirate havens, but even then were those places unusually violent? (murder, rape, lots of stealing and drunken whatnot) Thanks everyone!

Q. I am watching "In the Army Now" at the moment which was filmed in 1994 and Pauly's character Bones just said something like "you know what were doing right now? This is a scene right from Pirates of the Carribean and all we need is that mangy dog." How did he allude to a film made like 9 years later? Was it a play or book first?

A. Jean LaFitte (spelling?) was the last famous French pirate. He started operating "legally", with letters of marque from France, in the Indian Ocean. He was accused of going too far, and left for the Caribbean. He took part, for the US side, in the War of 1812 in Louisiana. There were major pirates off the China coast into the early 1900s, and the Sarawak Sea has never stayed clean, from at least 900 AD to now.

What makes the pirates think they can actually outsmart and overpower the US navy, like seriously?
Q. I mean they've already tried to attack another US ship! c'mon now. washington (Reuters) Pirates attacked a U.S.-flagged cargo ship off the coast of Somalia with rockets and automatic weapons, but failed to board the craft, the ship's owner said on Tuesday. The crew of the Liberty Sun was unharmed, but the vessel suffered damage, according to a statement from Liberty Maritime Corp of Lake Success, New York. The ship immediately requested help from the U.S. Navy and was now under escort, the statement said.

A. They know they will not overpower, or outsmart them. But they know they will not be afraid of a super power's military. Look, Somalis clearly showed that they were ready to fight a more sophisticated military, more armed, and better trained. The Somalis got nothing to loose. Don't think they will mourn when one of them is killed. 1000's died while fighting one another and others. They got nothing to loose, and they are not afraid of firing at US Navy ships, because for Somalis, it is WIN or DIE, not Win or Loose situation. There is nothing to live for if they don't get what they want, because nothing is left in Somalia. No government, no institutions, and they watch food aid delivered to other countries while Somalia is not and is regarded… [cont.]

How does the Pirates of The Caribbean story connect?

Asked by Alexis - Mon Oct 5 01:53:37 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. No you didn't miss anything its hard to get the concept the first couple times u watch it. how they connected the 1st and 2nd movies was thru the black pearl. How Captain Jack Sparrow was claiming to be captain of it even though he wasnt it was the captain for 11 of the 13 years. If he wouldn't have been claiming to be the captain of the pearl the story line would have been messed up. I dont think they were planning on making the 2nd and 3rd movie at first. but it worked out in the end. nxt time you watch put subtitles on the 2nd movie in thebeginningg of the movie when Jack is talking to Bootstrap when he is looking for rum. it kinda explains everything.

Exactly how will Somali pirates get the ransom money with out it being traced to a bank account?
Q. One presumes that a helicopter does not just drop the cash in a bag onto the deck of the ship. How do the pirates avoid having the money traced.
Asked by Chris P - Wed Nov 19 09:19:48 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments
A. These pirates are no more than ocean floating terrorists. They would demand a deal and that any ransom to be paid in cash. The request would most likely to be have the money placed on deck by a large helicopter in exchange the for the all the hostages to board. The money may be traceable but that would be top secret of course how the authorities would implement the task.

The second one was a winner too, but I loved the scene with all the Captain Jack Sparrows on that ship in Davey Jones' Locker. :) Ahhh, just so bizarre. They're great movies. On --> The first movie got 8.0 out of 10. The second movie got 7.3 out of 10. The third movie got 7.0 out of 10. I think the first was everyone's favorite. And good news, pirate fans! What are some good classical songs reminiscent of pirates?
Q. I'm looking for music that makes you think of pirates. No, I don't want the Pirates of the Carribbean soundtrack. BUT, I was thinking: There were pirates in the 18th century. There were composers in the 18th century, and many of them worked in port towns. Ergo, there must be music that was made in that era that was either based off of pirate folk music, or simply sounded like sailing. Anything pirate or sea related would be fantastic! Thanks.
